When we’re not experienced hikers, even a short day trip can feel like a huge production. Busy urban life drains our energy, online information is scattered and confusing - and so the trip keeps getting postponed.
Trail is getting out to nature made easy.
User research revealed a recurring pattern: people living in cities want to go out and breathe-in some nature, but struggle with time, motivation and the mental effort of planning. They’re looking for a simple, reliable, and personal way to get recommendations that feel human rather than algorithmic.

Trail turns trip-planning into a friendly conversation.
Instead of endless researching, the user simply tells the app what they feel like, answers a few quick questions about mood, time, or travel style and instantly receives tailored routes, like chatting with that friend who already hiked the entire Israel Trail.

The final design focuses on clarity, lightness, and a sense of calm - a gateway from the city back into nature.
Working on Trail taught me how to take an abstract need - “I want nature, but I have no energy for it” - and turn it into a simple, human digital experience.
